【摘要】:1.1Thisspecificationcoverssoldermetalalloys(commonlyknownassoftsolders),includingzinc-aluminum,zinc-aluminum-copper,zinc-tin,zinc-tin-copper,zinc-cadmium-tin,zinc-cadmium,tin-zinc,cadmium-zinc,cadmium-zinc-silver,andcadmium-silver,usedassoldersforthepurposeofjoiningtogethertwoormoremetalsattemperaturesbelowtheirmeltingpoints.1.1.1CertainalloysspecifiedinthisstandardarealsousedasThermalSprayWireintheelectronicsindustryandarecoveredforthispurposeinSpecificationB943.SpecificationB833coversZincandZincAlloyWireforThermalSpraying(Metallizing)usedprimarilyforthecorrosionprotectionofsteel(asnotedinAnnexA1ofthisspecification).1.1.2TinbasealloysareincludedinthisspecificationbecausetheiruseintheelectronicsindustryisdifferentthanthemajoruseofthetinandleadsoldercompositionsspecifiedinSpecificationB32.1.1.3Thesesoldersincludealloyshavinganominalliquidustemperaturenotexceeding850x00B0;F(455x00B0;C).1.1.4Thisspecificationincludessolderintheformofsolidbars,ingots,wire,powderandspecialforms,andintheformofsolderpaste.1.2Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.ThevaluesgiveninparenthesesaremathematicalconversionstoSIunitsthatareprovidedforinformationonlyandarenotconsideredstandard.1.3Toxicity8212;Warning:Solubleandrespirableformsofcadmiummaybeharmfultohumanhealthandtheenvironmentincertainformsandconcentrations.Therefore,ingestionandinhalationofcadmiumshouldbecontrolledundertheappropriateregulationsoftheU.S.OccupationalSafetyandHealthAdministration(OSHA).Cadmium-containingalloysandcoatingsshouldnotbeusedonarticlesthatwillcontactfoodorbeverages,orfordentalandotherequipmentthatisnormallyinsertedinthemouth.Similarly,ifarticlesusingcadmium-containingalloysorcoatingsarewelded,soldered,brazed,ground,flame-cut,orotherwiseheatedduringfabrication,adequateventilationmustbeprovidedtomaintainoccupationalcadmiumexposurebelowtheOSHAPermissibleExposureLevel(PEL).1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.ItistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtobecomefamiliarwithallhazardsincludingthoseidentifiedintheappropriateMaterialSafetyDataSheet(MSDS)forthisproduct/materialasprovidedbythemanufacturer,toestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpractices,anddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
