【摘要】:Theboilingrangedistributionofpetroleumfractionsprovidesaninsightintothecompositionoffeedstocksandproductsrelatedtopetroleumrefiningprocesses.Thegaschromatographicsimulationofthisdeterminationcanbeusedtoreplaceconventionaldistillationmethodsforcontrolofrefiningoperations.Thistestmethodcanbeusedforproductspecificationtestingwiththemutualagreementofinterestedparties.Boilingrangedistributionsobtainedbythistestmethodareessentiallyequivalenttothoseobtainedbytrueboilingpoint(TBP)distillation(seeTestMethodD2892).TheyarenotequivalenttoresultsfromlowefficiencydistillationssuchasthoseobtainedwithTestMethodD86orD1160.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthedeterminationoftheboilingrangedistributionofpetroleumproducts.Thetestmethodisapplicabletopetroleumproductsandfractionshavingafinalboilingpointof538176;C(1000176;F)orloweratatmosphericpressureasmeasuredbythistestmethod.Thistestmethodislimitedtosampleshavingaboilingrangegreaterthan55176;C(100176;F),andhavingavaporpressuresufficientlylowtopermitsamplingatambienttemperature.1.2Thistestmethodisnottobeusedfortheanalysisofgasolinesamplesorgasolinecomponents.ThesetypesofsamplesmustbeanalyzedbyTestMethodD3710.1.3ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Theinch-poundunitsgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
